After gaining my Food Science degree I spent 20 years working within the European Food Industry as a Product Development Manager and later within the Sales & Marketing arena.

In 2002 I set up my own company Nutrimental Ltd and worked as an independent Food Consultant. My projects included working with a leading retailer and a number of health care companies.

Having worked in very stressful jobs in the past I saw the effects of stress and poor eating habits on people’s health. I decided to extend my Nutritional knowledge and expertise and studied Nutritional Therapy at Raworth College in Dorking. During this time I continued with my consultancy work.

Clinical Work

Currently I work in two busy clinics in Brentwood and Ongar and carry out home visits by appointment in Billericay, Epping, Upminster & Chelmsford.  I work with people of all ages and various health conditions. Whilst I do not specialise in a particular health condition my main areas of interest include weight issues, digestive complaints, hormonal imbalances (PMS, menopause, thyroid & adrenal dysfunction), mental health and cancer.

My work has led to a great deal of research on my part but also working in conjunction with the medical profession (GPs, Gastroenterologists & Endocrinologists).

Public Speaking

I lecture in Nutritional Therapy at The Paragon College in Leatherhead, Surrey and supervise students in clinical practice.  I have also written a number of health articles, and given radio interviews.   I give talks, workshops and presentations at schools and local businesses discussing changing habits of eating and exercise for the long term.  I am currently conducting workshops in the local area, which involve motivating and promoting healthy eating and well being to people of all ages.  I also conduct workshops for Breast Cancer Care and Mental Health.

I am actively involved in Continual Professional Development and nutritional research and I am Chairperson of BANT Council (The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy).
